Brake Safety + UCM Protection
Brake status becomes part of the UCM validation evidence. When unintended motion is validated, the protective sequence is executed and the response is captured with the same equipment-state history used by Brake Safety.
A technical view of how Vertical Intelligence™ correlates motion, brake state, door/lock state and operating command, executes the defined protective response, and turns the complete event into technician-ready evidence through SmartAssist™.

Vertical Intelligence combines supervisory diagnostic applications with safety-function development such as UCM Protection. Supervisory applications do not replace code-required elevator safety devices. UCM Protection is intended to perform a defined protective function only after the final implementation satisfies the applicable code, testing, certification and listing requirements.
Where supervisory outputs are implemented, their application must be engineered, validated and installed appropriately for the specific elevator system and applicable requirements.
SmartAssist™ and other AI functionality are advisory and are not used as safety-control decision makers.
